LINEAR ESTIMATE OF THE NUMBER OF ZEROS OF ABELIAN INTEGRALS FOR A KIND OF QUINTIC HAMILTONIANS

We consider the number of zeros of the integral $I(h) = oint_{Gamma_h} omega$ of real polynomial form $omega$ of degree not greater than $n$ over a family of vanishing cycles on curves $Gamma_h:$ $y^2+3x^2-x^6=h$, where the integral is considered as a function of the parameter $h$. We prove that the number of zeros of $I(h)$, for $0 < h < 2$, is bounded above by $2[frac{n-1}{2}]+1$.

On Zeros of Eichler Integrals

Eichler integrals play an integral part in the modular parametrizations of elliptic curves. In her master’s thesis, Kodgis conjectures several dozen zeros of Eichler integrals for elliptic curves with conductor ≤ 179. In this paper we prove a general theorem which confirms many of these conjectured zeros. We also provide two ways to generate infinite families of elliptic curves with certain zer...

Zeros of Exponential Sums and Integrals

It is of frequent occurrence in problems of both pure and applied mathematics that certain values sought may be specified and must be determined as the roots of a tran-scendental equation. In particular, the equation may be of the class in which the unknown is involved only through the medium of exponential or trigonometric functions, with coefficients which are power functions or essentially s...
